The Transformation of Value is my personal exploration of Freedom, Money, and Creativity which I hope to share with you.
This show started 2022.
I was living back in my home country of New Zealand. We had been subject to the multi-year torment of lockdowns, border closures, and the insatiable dance for power that happened around the world during those Covid years.
For the first time in my life I was confronted with the full salvo of State power, of mass psychosis, of pandemonium.
Until that point, the artist in me had existed as a naive and curious journeyman.I had wandered and seen certain things but my basis for relations to the world had never been properly tested.
What could I do?
It was a sense of powerlessness, I felt stuck.
But somehow along the way I discovered Bitcoin and from there began to realise that I had a political voice. I could run a node and use open-source technology in a way that returned at least a little bit of sovereignty back to me.
I began to ask more questions.
This show documents my journey following these threads, including long-format podcast interviews, writing, and spoken-word stories.
Fundamentally I approach these questions as an artist.
It has been said that my show has a lot of variety. Some episodes are easy to fall asleep to, others are riveting and kindly request your undivided attention.
I am always looking for different lenses to approach the same questions with, for a bit of purchase with which to grab the next movement as I try to climb the sheer vertical wall.
This show may not be for everyone, but if you are here and listening I humbly appreciate your presence and your input. This project only exists because of listeners and the curious like you.
